1. Begin with a brief summary. This helps get right to the heart of the matter, and saves you time and money.
2. Ask specific questions. For example, if you say, "Tell me about Bill," you'll get a nice, general overview of Bill. If you say, "Bill and I were dating for six weeks and he stopped calling. Why?" you'll find out why.
3. Don't buy into scams. For example, spells to reunite you with a lover (you cannot influence free will) or paying someone to remove a supposed curse.
4. Don't play "Test the Psychic." Even the best psychics have to interpret impressions and can be thrown off by trick questions or misleading information. Give a bloodhound the wrong shoe, he'll lead you to the wrong person.
5. Don't shoot the messenger. You are paying to hear the truth. The truth might not be what you want to hear. It would be unethical to give you false hope.
6. Take notes. Often during the reading a person enters a relaxed state and has difficulty recalling what was said.
7. Understand the nature of predictions. A prediction is an extrapolation based on the situation as it currently stands. The outcome can be altered by free-will actions. Sometimes this is good. For example, if it is predicted you're going to be fired because you keep coming in late, you change the outcome and save your job by coming in on time. Sometimes this is bad. For example, if it's predicted that you'll find a new job within a month, and you stop sending out resumes, you can thwart the prediction.
